Control modes

PAN: The camera will smoothly follow your panning motion but cancel out any pitch  or roll movements.

FOLLOW: The camera will follow the direction the S1 is facing left, right, up and down.

LOCK: The camera is locked into it’s current position and maintains that orientation regardless of how the S1 is moved.

The S1 has an excellent battery life of 3-5 hours. But what makes the Removu S1 even more attractive is that once the battery does run low, you can simply swap it out for a fully charged spare! The Air10s is an advanced strobe commander in the N.A.S., Nissin Air System*1. The simple and clear dial layout with Color LCD display allows the user to seamlessly and quickly control a large group of strobes from a dark indoor studio, to a bright outdoor environment. Sustainable performance – easily updated via a Micro SD card slot

The Air10s has been equipped with a Micro SD card slot that allows users to update the device easily by themselves. Nissin plans on putting a Micro SD card slot on all future strobes and commanders.

Expand the creativity boundary – Control your strobes up to 100 meters*2

The device’s range of use has been greatly extended (when compared to older models) to a maximum distance of 100 meters, and the TTL Mode, high speed sync (FP sync) supporting up to 1/8000 High- speed shutter speed, rear curtain, and other functionalities can be controlled remotely.

Finest adjustment – supporting 1/3EV step in TTL flash exposure correction, and the smallest output down to 1/256*3

Used under the TTL mode, minimal adjustments are possible with just 1/3EV step. In addition, under manual mode, the device supports the lowest power adjustment down to 1/256, which comes in handy for highly sensitivity shoots.

Instant strobes setup – Manual output power instantly transform from TTL exposure data

The device has a “TTL Memory Function”, which memorizes the exposure during a TTL Mode shoot, and allows for a one-touch switch to manual mode. You can save time during the strobes setup as the device takes the TTL exposure data, calculates the individual output internally, and transforms the exposure data into manual mode for advance adjustment.

Set your group of strobes free – The Open Mode*4 allowing multiple Air10s to pair with the same group of strobes

The “open mode” allows for multiple Air10s units to pair with the same group of strobes. This means, the need to re-pair devices is eliminated, and even if cameras are changed, the same settings can be used as the shoot continues. This convenient functionality allows multiple cameras and commanders to share a same group of NAS strobes.

Crossover control – Full Control of Different versions of NAS Strobes

Even if your Air 10s is for Sony Mount, it is possible to pair it with Canon, Nikon and other differing version of NAS strobes (i60A, Di700A), and you can retain use of all the functions, including TTL Mode (Applies to the other type of Air10s versions as well).

*1 NAS stands for Nissin Air System, a proprietary wireless TTL communication system developed by Nissin for 2.4GHz radio transmission that allows for stable operation of slave strobes in outdoor or environments that may have other disturbances.

Devices are paired beforehand to ensure stable communication with each other, and to avoid signals from getting mixed up, 8 channels have been set up, providing a secure communication environment.*2 For Canon Mount devices that are set to Mode II, the rear curtain sync function cannot be used.*3 Only supported on i60A. When the device is paired with Di700Aor Air R, the TTL is -2.0~2.0EV, 1/2EV step, in Manual it is 1/1-1/128, 1EV step.*4 When using in Open Mode, the NAS strobe’s firmware needs to be updated.

By meeting the A1 performance standard, the 256GB SanDisk Ultra® microSDXCTM UHS-I card, Premium Edition, delivers capacity, speed and enhanced capability to deliver a better smartphone experience1.

Since the popular memory card format launched more than a decade ago, microSD cards have been instrumental in driving new segments in digital imaging like action cameras, drones, dashboard cameras and surveillance systems, and have significantly impacted the evolution of the smartphone. Today, approximately 75 percent of smartphone models on the market contain microSD slots, according to data from Strategy Analytics2. The 256GB* SanDisk Ultra microSD card offers the capacity and performance consumers need to capture all of life’s moments without having to worry about what to delete. With the introduction of the Android Marshmallow 6 operating system, users can expand storage capacity on smartphones by selecting the microSD card as preferred or adoptable storage, which means apps can now be loaded and launched directly from the A1 microSD card.

The A1 spec allows the new card to manage random read input-output access per second (IOPS) of 1,500 and write IOPS of 500, so it can quickly open apps and process accompanying tasks, such as audio, graphics, saved profiles and in-app permissions. With this in mind, the new SanDisk Ultra microSD card with A1 is designed to provide consumers a faster, more powerful app experience using cards.

Displays with eco credentials
These new Philips Monitors displays were developed with eco-friendly productivity in mind. They are made from 85% post-consumer recycled plastics with TCO Edge, minimising the environmental impact of production. In operation, they save energy highly effectively through the PowerSensor, an integrated “people sensor” that transmits and receives harmless infrared signals to determine if a user is present, and automatically reduces monitor brightness whenever the user moves away. This cuts the energy bill by up to 80% and prolongs the monitor life.

ADATA releases updated SC660H and SV620H 3D NAND external SSDs

 

Fast and reliable storage expansion in two stylish designs

UK – December 8, 2016 – ADATA Technology, a leading manufacturer of high performance DRAM modules, NAND Flash products, and mobile accessories today launched the updated Premier SC660H and Premier SV620H external SSDs. Based on previous designs, the new models are part of the ADATA move to 3D NAND Flash in all new SSDs and in refreshes of existing models. The SC660H and SV620H feature 3D TLC NAND instead of traditional 2D NAND to provide increased reliability, durability, and efficiency. The drives connect to host PCs via USB 3.1 Gen 1, and are presented in two distinct enclosure styles. Thanks to 3D NAND, the updated SSDs are available in 256GB and 512GB as opposed to 240GB and 480GB in the original SC660/SV620. Performance is 440MB/s read and 430MB/s write in both models.

SC660H: ultra-thin and tough elegance

The SC660H measures just 9.6mm tall. Its slim enclosure uses electroplated and textured titanium, ensuring a high degree of resistance against shocks, scratches, paint chipping, and fingerprints. The SC660H weighs a mere 73g, a fraction of the bulk of an external mechanical hard drive.

SV620H: elevating external SSD design

Also light and slender, the SV620H likewise employs a sandblasted titanium enclosure that makes it shock and scratch resistant. Its flat surfaces are raised 0.75mm, so that even when moved across a desk or other area the risk of unsightly scratches is minimised. The SV620H weighs 76g, and like its SC660H sibling has a cool blue activity LED.

 

Bigger capacity in the same space plus added reliability

The 3D TLC NAND used on the two external SSDs is more reliable than 2D NAND and enables “packing” more storage into identical product chassis. At 256GB and 512GB, the SC660H and SV620H offer more space than their predecessors without consuming extra power. They are extremely efficient and ideal for notebook PCs thanks to placing very little stress on batteries. Like all SSDs, they run totally silent and cool. #ConceptToCorey is a new project which documents the journey; from the very doodles of an idea, through to engineering CADs, photo-realisitic renders, prototyping and testing. It’s all here, laid bare for photographers and voyeurs of ‘how stuff works’  to get a handle on what goes into bringing a 3LT tripod to market.
